Non-Member Cost: $205
($180
class fee, $25 clay fee)
Description
This is a class
designed to help you bring your pottery skills to the next level. Learn more
complicated forms, such as bottles, lidded jars, platters, and teapots, while
refining your throwing, pulling, centering, and trimming skills. We will
experiment with altering on and off the wheel to change our pots, and students
will be encouraged to explore both functional and sculptural ideas in their
work. Increase your knowledge and technical ability with new surface decorating
and glazing techniques. Advice, criticism, and support will be offered to all
students, in a fun and relaxing environment. 8 weeks.
Supplies
Bring an old towel and your throwing tools.
The $25 supply fee covers the cost of a 25-lb. bag of stoneware clay, glazes,
and firing. Additional bags may be purchased at the
Center.
Students may access the studio on most days for practice
at no additional charge. An open studio schedule will be provided at your
first class.
